Our Emergency Department is equipped to respond efficiently and effectively to all types of emergencies—big and small. We offer emergency and trauma care for injuries and illnesses 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It is our pledge to provide immediate and the highest level of medical care to all people who enter the doors of DeKalb Memorial Hospital. Our emergency room has a physician on staff 24 hours a day to handle all emergency situations.
Transporting patients is our very own DeKalb EMS team. Our DeKalb EMS Technicians, Paramedics and Advanced EMT's are specially trained to handle any accident- or illness-related situation. Their goal is to assess the situation, stabilize the patient, then transport him or her to the appropriate emergency room. The ambulances, stationed in Auburn, Garrett and Butler, are staffed around the clock to help our community and your family in time of need.
