Paramedics respond to a variety of emergencies involving infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. You will be involved in advanced pre-hospital skills, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, obstetric, and neonatal emergencies.
An Emergency Medical Technician assesses the emergency, provides potentially life-saving care, airway management and ventilation techniques, medication administration and patient transport. EMTs respond quickly to high-level emergencies such as a car accident, heart attack, near drowning, childbirth, poisoning, and life-threatening injury.
