SMOKING POLICY
|
 |
We are a “Smoke-Free Campus”
To establish and maintain the safest possible environment in which to deliver health care, DeKalb Memorial Hospital has established a tobacco-free, "Smoke- Free" campus policy.
What Does “Smoke-Free Campus” Mean?
The smoke-free campus policy means that smoking of any type is prohibited anywhere on hospital grounds and the following hospital-owned and operated facilities and in vehicles on campus:
• DeKalb Memorial Hospital
• DeKalb Memorial Home Health Care & Hospice
• DeKalb Memorial Patient Financial Services
• Medical Arts Center East
• Medical Arts Center West
• Medical Office Building
• Campus Parking Lots
• In Vehicles Anywhere on Campus Grounds
We Understand
At DeKalb Memorial Hospital, we understand that prohibiting smoking on our grounds and in vehicles can and will pose a challenge for some smokers. As your hospital, we will do everything in our power to make the hospital experience for each and every patient and visitor as comfortable as possible.
