For those whose lives have been disrupted by physical injury, illness, developmental problems, the aging process, or social and psychological difficulties, the DeKalb Memorial Hospital Occupational Therapy unit, working in conjunction with the Physical Therapy unit and your physician will design an individualized program specifically for you.
Occupational Therapy concentrates on activities of daily living and is most often involved with patients who have an injury or illness affecting the upper extremities or hands.
Our goal is to assist each and every person in achieving an independent, productive, and satisfying life. From the injured child, injured worker to the person affected by aging, Occupational Therapy helps people make the most of their abilities.
