Occupational Therapy Occupational therapists assess and treat people who, because of illness or injury, are limited in their ability to undertake the activities of everyday life. OTs specialize in fine and gross motor rehabilitation and help patients recoup the skills needed for activities in daily living, such as cooking, dressing, and cleaning.
OTs are skilled professionals who enter the field with a bachelor's or master's degree. OTs must complete supervised clinical training, pass a national examination, and be accepted for licensure in Indiana. Depending of the degree sought, an OT will complete five to six years of education.
